Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
